"MAIL COACH
Here is a story set in the time of the coaching days with a vivid back¬ground of the bustle and excitement of the inns. It is the story of three children, Richard, Betsey and F’rick, whose father keeps an inn. Each child has an ambition. Richard wants to be a Master Rider at Astley’s Circus, Betsey wants to have a gay life in London and F’rick wants to be a famous violinist. Mail Coach is an exciting story of the achievement of these ambitions.

A personal note about Joan Selby-Lowndes appears on the back wing of this jacket. This is Miss Selby-Lowndes’ first book."
