iPad as Writing Device

The iPad really works as a text creation device. In plain words, that means that you can write on the puppy. In fact, when coupled with an external keyboard, it’s a great platform for writing.

I wrote an evaluation of my two favorite writing apps and their use on the iPad, and it’s posted here, although it is rather out of date now. Currently, I exclusively use the iOS version of Pages because of the formatting preservation with my main desktop WP, Word, and the seamless syncing with my other three main iThings.

And I currently use the Amazon Basics Bluetooth keyboard – it’s a bit smaller than the Apple, and it costs less that half as much, which is a consideration when I simply toss it, unprotected, into my bag when I leave home.
